David is a psychotherapist and amateur musician. He has recently discovered the use of Green Men and is busy spreading the practice in and around his adopted home village of Bollington in Cheshire. At his workshop he will be explaining the background and purposes of this new custom, and demonstrating the procedure for making and hanging Green Men.
Shonaleigh is an internationally known story-teller who has appeared at festivals across the globe. With her band Tashbain she tells stories deeply rooted in her Jewish culture. We are very proud to be hosting her story walk "Walking the Wild Wood".
Well known in the area for their diverse musical talents, the Noyce Family are regular contributors to the Well-Dressed Band.
Val is a talented musician and dancer, and leads the regular folk sessions at the Kelham Island Tavern. If you can think of anything she hasn't done in the folk world, please let us know!
Claire Herring and Gordon Watts
Claire and Gordon were leading lights in Doncaster's Three Horseshoes Folk Club for some years. Their use of small instruments (mandolin, whistle and bodhràn) and their wide range of tunes are an adornment to any session.
